The Journey Of A Simple Guy In Finding The Best Of Life
21 Dec
Last year, I dedicated my Annual Gift Wrapping Festival to my recent trip to the USA. It was Fall Season that time and I got inspired with how the leaves changes its colors and fall from its branches. It was an amazing experience!
This year, I actually don’t have clear idea on what would influence my Christmas theme for gift wrapping. Nothing that significant happened this year except for my birthday trip to Hongkong.
Last July, Cee and I flew in to Hongkong to celebrate my birthday. We were supposed to visit tourist attractions that time since it’s Cee’s first time in HK but due to weather condition (SO HOT!), we decided to just stay in the mall and shop until rheumatism kicks in!
It was just a four-day event and we celebrated it in a theme… There was a day that we both wore blue, stripes and checkered. Checks or Plaids are so hip that time.. you can almost see everyone wearing checkered polos, trench coats, dress etc. It was like Burberry is the only place to shop that month.
When I was doing my early Christmas Shopping in October, I run into Wrap Shop and saw this fabulous checkered ribbon. It looks sophisticated, fab and the most important thing it’s on SALE!
Checks and plaids makes me think of Britain and Scotland. It’s so glamorous and sophisticated. This is why I decided to horde all their stocks of that pattern and match it up with maroon colored ribbon on a glittered mocha colored wrapper.
Ladies and Gentlemen, this is my version of a Classic Victorian Gift Wrapping Style.
