Published February 2, 2013 | Sometime last Quarter of 2012, I received a letter from Globe Telecom explaining and apologizing about the inconvenience that their network brought about to each subscribers last year. They made some promise to finish it before the year ends or early next year. Honestly, they piss the hell out of me. Imagine paying your monthly dues but not getting much from the service they should be giving out.
Just few days ago, Apple released iOS6 and part of which is giving options on our mobile devices on LTE. I hurried myself and went to the nearest Globe Business Center and ask for a 4G LTE nano sim. Honestly, I thought you have to subscribe for an extra charges for you to get the advantage of LTE but voila, as long as you’re a Postpaid Subscriber you can get a free LTE sim.

And for the sake of taking advantage of LTE, I took out and break my Starbucks casing I bought from Taiwan and leave my iPhone 5 naked until such time my Saffino leather case arrives.
I tested it around the Metro while I was on my way to work and got these results:

Got bored while trying on some stuff at the mall, and I can’t believe I would enjoy LTE. Who wouldn’t enjoy uploading pics on IG? Everytime my signal changes to LTE, it excites me! Have to run some Speed Test right away.

Published December 29, 2012 | The Kids and I were in Hong Kong in the early part of December and I was with them most of the time. I was trying to control myself from spending as I was waiting for some news that would actually change everything but I didn’t receive it until we were back in Manila.
I decided to have a “me time” before our flight back to Manila while the rest are enjoying our stay in Hong Kong Disneyland Hollywood Hotel.
It was around 9AM when I left the hotel and took the MTR at Sunnybay going to Hong Kong Station. Although I have something in my mind what to get, I was still battling with myself on whether or not to get that item until I saw this wall.

It was the same wall that my friend Eva and I had our photo taken around 12MN when we bought my first Macbook five years ago. Still, I tried not to consider it a sign and decided to go to the nearest Starbucks for some breakfast. When I was walking towards the counter, it dawned on me that this Starbucks is right beside the first Apple Store in IFC. So when I looked at my right, here’s what greeted me – HEAVEN!

I finished my breakfast as quick as I can and walked towards the entrance as if someone is pulling me. I was on the second floor so what greeted me are the Workshops and Apple Associates helping the buyers set up their new units.

After few minutes, I walked down the glass spiral stairs, wander and asked myself, “Am I dead? If so, Thank God I ended up in Heaven!”.

I called the associate and asked for some assistance in getting me a stock of the 13″ Macbook Pro.

After putting myself to bankruptcy, the Associate guided me upstairs and told me to line up and wait for my turn to setup my new baby. I was supposed to skip this ‘coz I know how to do it but I told myself that I need to stay long ‘coz I’m home.

While in line, the manager saw my iPhone 5 and asked me about my casing. I was using the Starbucks casing and asked me where did I get one. I told him I got one from Taipei. We were talking about my newly acquired baby and told him why was the iPad mini not readily available. He told me that there’s a reservation needed for it. I tried to use my charm but it was my turn to for the setup.

After setting it up, I headed back to Lantau to meet my sister and the kiddos at City Gate Mall. After getting some stuff, we dropped our shopping bags at the hotel before we head out for the park.
