Would you believe that this precious Alligator skin iPad case is worth an arm and leg? The seem to be knock-off of the original Apple designed case has a tag price of Four Thousand Nine Hundred Freakin’ Thousand US Dollars! Way way way expensive than the iPad itself!

I don’t get it. Ya’ll know my fascination about reptiles but this??? Come on! Can’t they look more like an Apple iPad Case?

And oh, just in case you’re mad about Tod’s, they have a cheaper version of it… worth $495.

A lot of my acquaintances were asking on what could be the main reason behind my newly acquired iPad. They were telling me that it’s just a jumbo iTouch and I should just simply get a netbook if my main reason is mobility.

Yes. Mobility and consumption are the main reasons on why I bought this lovely device. You know for a fact that I am into blogging and I browse the net a lot. It’s like my life. I can’t let the day pass without checking the sites that I regularly follow, read the news, tweet, checking out facebook, and read emails (whether work or non-work related). I have a Macbook but I can’t carry it around and be online with it whenever I’m traveling. I was looking for a mini notebook that could give me a decent display for browsing and watching videos.

Actually, I consider reading netbook reviews before deciding to get an iPad but the thought of using an unthinkable operating system stops me from getting one. It’s like having an ice cream without the cherry on top.

Yes iPad don’t have multi-tasking. No adobe flash. No camera. No USB port. But do you really need those things when you’re mobile? If you’re like me who is addicted to browsing and reading online stuffs, then an iPad is for you. And as they say, you’re not entitled to criticized an iPad if you don’t own one (or at least used one).

I’ve been using my customized Prepaid SUN sim as my data micro sim for my iPad 3G since the day I got it. Though it’s not giving me the speed I was expecting, I don’t have that much complaints with it except for the continuous switching from 3G to Edge and reloading it.

I was planning to stay connected with it until I got hold of my own Globe Prepaid Micro Sim but it takes ages till they released these Micro Sims! So yesterday, I braved the rain and went to TriNoma to open an iPad Plan.

Globe’s attendant told me that I have to wait till the next day (24 hours) before I can use it. She handed me the steps I needed to do on my iPad before I went out of the Business Center. I followed the steps as soon as I arrived home and waited until a day past to check the 3G signal.

It’s been more than 24 hours already when I decided to phone talk2Globe to check on what happened to my account. The guy told me that he can’t find my account and it would take 3 to 5 days before it gets activated. I told him to check it again as it is impossible that it will be activated after 5 days because it will only take hours for it to be ready. He can sense my exasperating tone so he placed me on hold to manually activate my account after getting the serial number of my sim card. After that, he let me restart my iPad and voila, 3G is working!

Again, I’m not satisfied with the speed but I’m ok with it since this is just a backup connection for me just in case we had black out, or when I’m not home.
