The Journey Of A Simple Guy In Finding The Best Of Life

Have you ever noticed the tag line at the back of your Apple products: “Designed in California. Assembled in China.”?
Oh well, here’s another way how Apple give importance to their relationship with China. At the launch of the second Apple Flagship in Pudong Shanghai, Apple gives out free t-shirts to the first 5,000 visitors at the store. The shirt is in red color with the printed designs in white.

The shirt has a design of the location of the store in the front and a statement at the back in chinese characters which means: “Designed in California, Made for China.”
Lovely! iLoveIt!

And here’s another reason why I need to travel to China in the coming months.

Apple has just recently opened their second retail store in Shanghai! And like the impressive cube store in 5th Avenue in Manhattan, the store is not inside a concrete or metal building but instead, it stands on its own below ground level and atop with an iconic cylindrical glass tower.
Wall Street Journal reported that more than a hundred Apple fans have been waiting overnight for the opening of the said store.
Apple opened the doors of its second store in the entire country on Saturday, drawing crowds of all ages as early at 5 a.m. Some drove several hours or flew in from other provinces for a chance to line up outside the cylindrical glass building. Many hoped to catch a glimpse of the iPhone 4 or of Steve Jobs, but were disappointed.

This is what I like about Apple. They always break rules! I’ve been to Apple Cube Store in Manhattan for like 3 times during my stay in East Coast two years ago and mind you though they don’t have events during those times, a lot of people are still lining up just to get in! The store was marked as a tourist spot and been the most visited since it opened! I bet this Cylindrical Store in Pudong will be just like its brother. A MUST place to visit!
