The unprecedented iPad 2 launch is a huge success in the US yesterday, March 11. Long lines were seen from East Coast to West Coast and up until Midnight, the 24/7 Fifth Avenue branch has lines outsides from Apple fans who are eager to get hold of the new fancy babies.

I wish I was there not to join them and wait for my turn to slide my plastics at the counter but at least experienced the hype and take photos of my fellow Apple fanatics.

Look at these people, when are we going to have fancy Apple Stores like these in Manila and have an Apple event something like this… people lining up with SAs wearing their infamous Apple uniforms attending to customers as if we’ve won a million bucks!

I heard Apple Store will land on IFC2 later this year… thinking of flying to Hong Kong on the first day it opens.
Damn! How I wish I have money to spend right now to add to my growing Apple babies (I really think I need a new one as everyone seems to be giving birth… my sister and Victoria will soon have girls!).

This is what I like best about Apple, they always think of what’s best and being fair to their customers.
With the launch of the latest addition on their state-of-the-art devices, iPad 2, Apple have decided to return $100 to those who bought their first generation iPad recently due to the sudden drop on the prices of Apple iPad. I hope they do this also in Manila.

Thursday Manila marks the day of my weekly meeting with our client. Normally, I report 2 to 4 hours early for work just to finish the report and send it hours early if I wasn’t able to send it a day prior to presentation. However, since I overslept, I woke up late and report just few minutes before my shift starts.
I know for a fact that something big will be announced today – at 10AM PST, same time as my shift – the new iPad. Just imagine how I was able to review data while monitoring metablogging and tweet news feeds at the same time! It’s so freaking crazy with all the details I have to remember for reporting and the excitement with the new features of the iPad 2! Anyways, I survived the presentation but I can’t take the device out of my mind! I have to have a new baby!
On the Apple Event:

Everyone was surprised when Steve Jobs came out to present their new revolutionary invention. As we all know, Steve was on indefinite leave due to medical reasons. I was actually expecting for a nurse pushing for some medical carts that carries his medication but thank God that Steve looks just fine.
The presentation started with what happened last year and how 2010 become the year of the iPad. Then they presented the new device which I think drool worthy (to someone like me who adores anything with a bitten Apple logo) especially with the updated features. I was so excited and can’t stop myself from reading the live feed from my iPad as I was doing my Dissat Analysis. I told myself that I have to have this one even if I declare my bankruptcy to the bank.
Here are the features of the iPad 2:
* Thinner by 33% and Lighter by 15%
* A5 Dual Core Chip Twice as Fast
* Upto 9times Superfast Graphics
* Same Amazing Battery Life
* Front and Rear Camera for Face Time Calling and Video (this would actually help for people who travels alone like me!)
* iPad Smart Covers (iLike)
* Gyro, Accelerometer and compass
* Video Mirroring with the use of HDMI adapter
All of which can be yours starting at $499 (16G wifi) and so on…! I Love!

Actually, I am up for the white version plus the light blue cover. I need to loosen up a bit on my life as I am stuck with an all black environment. And as Elle Woods says, it’s “Funner!”
Now I need to focus more at work as I still have 9 more days to review my finances and find ways to get this damn tablet! My credit card pops out of my wallet while I was reading the live feed earlier, literally! Dwayne would be happy if I’ve decided to give him my old iPad!
