  • Black Out

Last Saturday morning I received an email from one of my colleagues in the office about the Black Out schedule in Metro Manila. I’m so behind news these days as I don’t have much time watching TV and reading news paper but I heard that we’ll be having rotational black out but only to some selected areas.

As I was searching for our village on the excel file sent to us, my head got heated up right away as I can’t understand the reason on why do they have to do this especially at this time of year where air condition system and dehumidifier are very much needed! Why now? Why not during rainy season!

You know me, I love cold season and I despise summer! Anyway, our schedule is every 7 – 9 PM but so far we still haven’t experience the black out and hope will never happen.

  • Dumbo on Broadway!

After Lion King and Little Mermaid… here comes Dumbo!

Broadway Productions are plotting a stage production for the much loved and the only flying elephant in the world, Dumbo.

“Word around Shubert Alley last week was that Disney was in talks with Stephen Daldry to direct….Let’s put it this way, Dumbo will not be on Broadway in the 2010-11 season, because it’s simply in the very early stages. There’s a chance that Dumbo won’t even make it to Broadway because so many projects aren’t good enough and there’s only so much space…However, this project seems promising…..”

  • My Weekend

The heat of the sun early this Sunday is killing. My plan of staying home for the entire day was forgotten as I can’t bear the heat outside even if I was inside my room with my AC ON the entire day.

I was thinking of hitting the mall again to have my photos reprinted and check another flick in the movie house. Since I’ve seen Miss You Like Crazy yesterday, YES! I’ve seen it in Greenbelt THX, I decided to watch Valentines Day.

I was supposed to watch this movie last time when I was in Rockwel but I saw two people I despise. I turn my back and hit the escalators for some window shopping.

Before going to the mall, I set my Mac to download two films from iTunes. I bought a Docu-Film about Annie Leibovitz and rented a movie of Drew Barrymore (Everyone’s Fine) for my movie nights Sunday.

Valentines Day is an all star cast movie. Actually it’s not a good movie to watch as it does not give me good laugh. The only scene that makes me laugh is when Queen Latiffah tries to have phone sex with Anne Hathaway’s customer. And mind you, that scene is almost at the end of the film. However, since my purpose is to get rid of the heat, it is quite a good reason to leave home and be freshen up with iced cold sugar free tea and cold AC system.

I arrived home in time for dinner. After leaving some of the stuffs I bought in the refrigerator, I locked up in my room and play the Docu-Film about Annie Leibovitz while munching Angus Beef Pizza and Ziti for my dinner.

As expected, the film is all about Annie Leibovitz on how she started her life in Photography from the first picture she has taken when they were still living in the Philippines up until she lives in New York City. She started as the official photographer for Rolling Stones Magazine. Just right after she was released from the rehab, she became the photographer of Conde Nast’s magazines like Vanity Fair and Vogue. Her work is simply amazing! It’s full of life and love.

Here are some of the photos featured in the film:

    Kirsten Dunst

    Trump

    Natalie Portman

I Love it! I just hope to take photos like that someday if I decided to practice my inner art skills in photography.

  • A cube of cheese

People are praising Kelly Osbourne as she was spotted on the red carpet with her new self.

The daughter of Ozzy Osbourne attended London’s Fashion Week with her fats all gone. She is wearing a skimpy leather mini dress and admits that she is struggling with her weight and is open to talk about it now.

Her look now is amazing compare to what she was before! Just imagine being 42 pounds lighter, I might’ve look someone with Mesothelioma Cancer (knock on wood!) if I loose that huge amount of fat!

When I’m sad because I can’t buy a certain shirt, this line from Devil Wears Prada keeps playing on my mind:

“I don’t eat anything and when I feel like I’m about to faint I eat a cube of cheese. I’m just one stomach flu away from my goal weight. ”

Do you think it will work for me?

Oh God, please…. remember, if you can’t make me thin… make my friends fat… :)

  • Engineer Barbie

    This I understand, but this…

Since when did we encounter an Engineer wearing a skimpy leggings? Since when did we encounter the likes of Lindsay Lohan fixing your mother board on your computer or installing LAN cards on your machine?

A survey was conducted all over the world and fans of the infamous Mattel doll have voted Computer Engineer as most likely Barbie’s next career beating news anchor and some other jobs associated to woman.

Can Lindsay Lohan handle such tough job? Of course, with her leggings on!

I was at the Salon earlier and flipping in to the pages of the magazine. When I checked on Vogue, I found this…

Draw your eyes into the flowery detail on the jacket.

The first thing that came into my mind has to do with it. It seems that Uncle Karl took his inspiration at our native abaniko made of dried leaves… those who has flower designs made of cottons… when I was a kid, it looks sibuyas (onion) for me.
