Yakimix

And so the smokeless electric grill was powered backed on again and this time to celebrate Nanie’s Birthday!

We were supposed to go to Resorts World to watch Green Lantern and try our luck at the casino. However, due to weather we decided to follow our Greedy self and binge eating with Yakimix’s food!

Nanie wanted to try the Photo Booth at Time Zone so we went on while waiting for Jobane.

Yakimix Staff had to sing a Happy Birthday song for Nanie

After Yakimix, we needed something to help digest the excessive amount of food we eat.

It was fun catching with you guys. Thanks Nanie for the treat! We will celebrate more on the 9th!

Aunt Hattie is leaving soon so instead of the usual Despidida party at home wherein the entire barrio would stock up your handa for the next day consumption, we decided to just eat out with the immediate family members.

So even if it’s raining non-stop yesterday, we manage to bring the entire Reyes clan to Yakimix at Greenbelt 3.

We had to be at the mall early as my sister wants to go shopping and we need to list down our reservation at Yakimix.

Everyone seems to be satisfied with the food they eat and enjoyed the time we had spent in Yakimix even if its just 3.5 hours (we were planning to stay till it closes).

So as we call out the night, here’s a Major Major way to end Tita’s Despidida!

After our weekend in Baguio and right before I flew in to Hong Kong, Sally and I decided to meet up one Friday afternoon after my shift to catch up for more stories. Since I was planning to get my hair done, we decided to meet at the Salon before heading out to Makati.

Sally arrived in her long sleeve pull over and some jeans skirt at this broad day light. It was so freaking hot and we have to line up to wait for a cab that will drive us to our super late lunch!

I was longing to dine-in at Yakimix but I don’t know which one to drag as dining alone in a buffet is the last thing on my mind. For me it’s not appropriate though I have done that in San Diego few years back when I went to Las Americas to shop alone.

We arrived around 4PM in Greenbelt and headed to Yakimix. The dinner buffet starts at 6:00 PM and that means we just need to leave our name and stroll around the mall for a while and be back when it starts.

Yakimix is a buffet type of restaurant. It serves Japanes, Chinese, Korean and Mongolian type of food you want to grill on their Smokeless Griller and eat. People would gather around at the entrance for a while and waited for name to be called. As soon as your name was called, an attendant will bring you to your table and assist you in firing up the griller.

They have wide variety of foods to offer. All kinds of meat, sushi, soups, appetizers, salads, noodles, and desserts. I find the food ok for my palette.. actually its more than ok as I enjoyed the soup, sushi and grilling. If they have a branch closer to where I live and offer restaurant delivery, I would call them as often as I can.

Sally and I enjoyed our meal and sharing of stories that we haven’t noticed that we stayed for hours on our table. The restaurant was actually jammed and you can say that the Manager is having a problem on how they can accommodate all the pre-listed customers and the people waiting outside.

I enjoyed the Popsicles!

I would recommend Yakimix to those who are heavy eater and would love to experience Smokeless Grill Restaurant. Dinner starts at 6PM and continues until 11PM. It costs Php 580 (not bad actually) per head and Php 55 for a bottomless drinks.

PS:

I think Yakimix has more to offer on dinner than on lunch.. but I’m not sure, I just noticed when we tried dining in TriNoma branch during lunch hours.
