Sometime last May, my friends and I booked an overnight stay for a 3-bed room suites in Linden Suites. We decided to have a 3-way celebration this July for my birthday, Jobane’s and Orville’s. So last Saturday while we experience rain showers all day, we trip down to Ortigas for a relaxing weekend!

I left home at around 11AM trying my luck for an early check-in and to pick up the cake at Estrel’s. Check-In time at Linden starts at 3PM, I arrived around 12:30 PM with 3 bags and a huge box of cake! Since they were still cleaning out the room, I headed to Galleria for the mean time. I was supposed to claim my dimsum however, they won’t accept my voucher as it is only valid for dine in.

Room is ready when I arrived back at Linden. I powered on all the ACs in the suite and placed my stuffs at the Masters Bedroom. The rest of the gang is still on the road so I just watched TV while waiting for them.

I just wish we brought digital camcorders to document our fun and relaxing night out of work!

This was last year…

…and this year

I was playing Angry Birds on my iPad around 12:30 AM while waiting for my DSL connection to stabilize to watch the Final Game of this year’s World Cup when I decided to just watch movies that makes me smile and slept the entire day…. on my Birthday!

Actually, I don’t have clear plans on how to celebrate my birthday this year. At first, I was planning to fly to Taiwan but airfare was so expensive that time. I filed for VL but due to work loads and deadlines, I’ve decided to just move it to Saturday only to find out that system won’t allow it.

Anyway, though I was not able to celebrate my birthday this year, I’m still happy to get hold of my birthday wish… an iPad.

And the countdown begins…

The clock is ticking so fast… in the coming days, I will be turning to the age level I never dreamt of becoming one. I don’t know what to expect but I am hoping for a more meaningful, wonderful and fabulous life ahead.

For now, I will be enjoying my last remaining days of my youth!

This day, the day we celebrate our Independence, marks the countdown of something I am not looking forward to!

If last year I celebrated Douze jours d’anniversaire, this year will be different. Being 30, for me, is the stage wherein I have to be serious with my life. I have to work hard, earn more and save more! So this year, I’ll just have 3 gifts for myself. A way to welcome myself to the unimaginable world of thirties!
