It was a very tiring yet productive Saturday!
My September 3 started at 6AM where I hit the shower to get ready to pick up Chanel’s cake in Serendra. We hit the road by past 9AM from Up North to Down South Makati/Taguig area.
We arrived at Sonja’s few minutes before 10AM. The cake is still in their kitchen up stairs but the cupcakes were all set.

The moment they move down the cake to their main store, I felt quite disappointed. Don’t get me wrong, the cake is fancy, beautiful and cute but its not what I expected. Though it looks like more appropriate for kids and playful, they made the details giant.
After Serendra, we hit off Shaw Boulevard to deliver the cake and cupcakes. We did not ask Sonja’s to deliver it for us as their delivery charges is too pricey. So we pick it up and delivered it to the reception before heading off to the church.

Right after the baptismal ceremony, we went straight to Shaw Boulevard for the reception. We were starving so we started eating as soon as we arrived at the venue.

Reiko so cozy
Chanel dressed up into a lovely dress from Zara with floral applique, her Burberry MJs and a Burgundy head piece.
Chanel was sleeping most of the time at the reception. I wasn’t able to take photos of her with her Kuya Dwayne and Ate Reiko.
She looks serene and cutee even when sleeping
.. good thing, she woke up before the party has ended and we were able to take photos of her at the cake less the cupcakes.

Finally, this saga has ended! Now time time to plan for your first birthday!

My sister and I are currently checking on suppliers for our Baby Chanel’s Christening. As usual, I was tasked to take care of the cake and her party dress while my sister is looking for the reception area, church, invitation and souvenirs.
For me, Christening should be solemn and decent. It’s not like birthdays wherein you can prepare for themed party motifs or mascots. Cakes are made of fondant and not Royal Icing. It’s a must for babies to wear mini gowns or suits and not their usual onesies or the usuals.
As for invites, something like Paper Culture baby announcements is the best way to announce your event to your friends and relatives. I’m not digging those invitation cards printed on cheap papers – Note to my sister.
So how are we doing for the upcoming event? Well, I still have to meet the cake supplier but I’ve discussed the design I wanted. As for the dress, we might get it on Friday, if not on Saturday.
