London 2012

It’s long weekend here in Manila and I’m on the last day of Holiday. I didn’t do that much in the past days except from spending it in my room and lay down and get some sleep. However, I was able to catch up with some shows that I haven’t seen during those days that I was at work while the rest of the world are going crazy over it – London 2012 Closing Ceremony.

Yes, I only got the chance to watch the show yesterday and all I can say is that British knows how to throw a party! It was one hell of a fun down there which made me wish that I was one of the participants so I can enjoy the moment. Brits threw in all the famous and best artists they’ve contributed in the Music Industry and damn it was fun! It’s the biggest concert ever in the history of Olympics! I could say that the Closing Ceremony is better than the Opening, we all get the chance to enjoy the music of Annie Lennox, Oasis (Beady Eye), One Direction, Taio Cruz, Jessie J, Queen and Spice Girls!!!

Here are some of the photos from the show:

I love the Union Jack setup on the Stadium

I was in Cebu when the London 2012 Olympics kicks in so I wasn’t able to watch the opening as I don’t have wifi in my room to check the schedule.

So just the other day, I downloaded the Opening Ceremony and checked out the uniforms worn by the athletes at the parade.

Here’s my top 3:

GREAT BRITAIN

I was actually torn between Great Britain and Netherlands. Both are incredibly amazing but I have to give it to Great Britain as its not only the uniform that looks good, the entire team looks good on the stadium! GB Team glows on the field when they were called and biodegradable white confetti flown on them as they walk. Stella McCartney might’ve thought of it well as the use of gold on their collar, under arms and as linings is very smart and very original.

NETHERLANDS

Netherland’s uniform almost hit the Fashion Forward category with the use of their national colors, how the uniforms were cut and how it was executed. Orange over Blue and Black outerwear is simply appealing to the eyes – Color Blocking at its finest! I also love how they made use Tulips to accessorize their uniform. It’s new and fresh!

GERMANY

I love how soft the team looks in the stadium. The use of pastel colors makes me wanna go to the candy store.

US Uniform is good but I don’t see anything new with it. It’s as if they always look like the same almost every Olympic.
