You just can’t imagine the difficulty I’ve encountered to carry this huge gift from Greenbelt 5 all the way to FARVIEW!!! For a person who don’t own a car and just rely on cabs around the Metro in Holiday Season… It’s shopping suicide!
I know I can buy this to any Toys R Us in nearby malls but I have to be done on my list the day I bought that. This kid is really difficult to buy gifts ‘coz their room is already full of toys so I have to grab the opportunity while I still have time, anyway I cancelled my flight to Taiwan just to be done on my Christmas shopping.
I can’t believe that the price of toys these days are as expensive as Hermes bag. My jaw dropped when the attendant told me how much this one costs. But I grabbed it ‘coz the happiness and excitement that it would bring to my nephew will be priceless!!! Even a Louis Vuitton Damier Graphite Keepall can’t beat that!!!
Here’s a story last night… Dwayne won’t stood up from the sofa when my cousin was calling him to take the gift. He told us that his name was not on the gift tag ‘coz I was that tired to write a message on some of my gifts. I have to grab a pen to write his name on it before he acknowledges that the gift is really for him.
He’s funny! I love this kid!!!

Published January 1, 2011 | I can’t let this day pass without posting anything on my blog! Yes, it’s already 2011 but the pain that some people gave me last 2010 keeps running on my head. I know life would never be fair but I hope they would at least try to acknowledge the thing I’ve done for them.
Oh well, I will move on but it will never be forgotten. It’s New Year… another chance to prove myself that I can give more and be the best.
Anyway, we had our year-end party in the office last 30th of December. Though we didn’t get enough budget this year, at least we were able to gather the team and forget all the issues and just have fun for a while. After the party, I’ve decided to report for duty for my second shift that day and went home at 5AM the next day.
This year, my family decided to gather around on New Year’s Eve for our annual party. I woke up around 11AM to go the Supermarket to get some ingredients I’ll be using for the Garlic Parmesan Chicken I’ll be preparing for the event. Surprisingly, amidst of the expected turn out of people at the mall, I was able to finish my grocery in just 30 minutes.
My sister pick me up together with her husband, son and her helper. I laid down for a while on my bed as soon as we arrived home to gain back my energy and started cooking. Good thing that some food were already prepared since Christmas that all we have to do is to reheat it. Good thing we were done preparing 30 minutes before the clock hits midnight.
This is what I need after all what happened to to me last year – a simple celebration with my love ones. I can say that this is one of the best New Year I had.
