The Journey Of A Simple Guy In Finding The Best Of Life
6 May

This is actually a post I made two years ago when I was starting my first serious blog.

I know that soon you’ll be leaving us (me and lolo papa) for a brighter future in PA but let me tell you that we will always love and miss you and will try to visit you as often as I can. We hope that you grow up as sweet, loving, caring, God Fearing, bright, smart, and cute as your Tito Jayson. When I got that chance to go there, we’ll shop in New York!

Exactly 4 years ago, a baby was born. A handsome and bouncy baby boy gave new hope and happiness to his family. Everyone is very excited to visit the hospital just to see how he looks like. Did he get his mother’s nose? Does he have the same hair as his father?
I remember the time when he arrived. Almost all of our relatives are in our house wanted to check on how cute he was. As I took him from my aunt, I was amazed on how soft and heavy he was! I was so scared to carry him for I might give him injuries or maybe I might accidentally drop him. I tried to look closer at him and thought how wonderful life is. It’s a miracle indeed!

From then on, I know God has shed a light on us. He gave us another hope and strength to live on after what happened to our family 10 years ago. I’m pretty much sure that your “lola-mama” will be very happy if she is still with us. She’ll take good care of you as what she did to me, your mommy and “lolo-papa”.

So now, on this very special day, I wanted to greet you a very HAPPY HAPPY BIRTHDAY! I just hope that you’ll be happy on this day and you’ll enjoy your little party later on. I wish that you grow up healthy and still carry the values that your family is teaching you. I promised to support you in any ways that I can.
To you Dwayne Christen, Happy Birthday once again and we love you!!!
Happy Birthday my one and only baby! I love you! My Macapplebaby!

LOL
My uncle is currently busy tagging us on facebook for the videos taken last week for Amanda’s birthday party.
I am not surprised that the party was filled with production numbers as my cousin Amanda is into dancing. She’s actually enrolled in every dancing class in their place and regularly competes to some Dancing competition. She hopes to become part of Broadway Musical someday as she can also sing.
Here are some photos from her competitions:
You just can’t imagine how she manages to fit her dancing lessons and competitions in her schedule considering the fact that she goes to school regularly.
Here’s a video of her dancing to Lady Gaga’s Just Dance for her Ballroom Dance number:
I Love it! Our family is really talented…. My sister and I used to dance in school programs too when we were still in Middle School and High School… well that was a thing in the past… moving on.

Time flies so fast… I haven’t even noticed that my cousin in New Jersey had celebrated her Sweet 16th birthday last week!
I was supposed to be there since we are planning for a little reunion with the rest of the family in the States and Canada. But due to recession and some unavoidable circumstances, I wasn’t able to attend the party.

Here are some of them… Ochie and Owie whom I haven’t met yet ever since (actually I was supposed to see them in Chicago but I decided not to fly there), Ate Gen from Canada, Clarissa, Ron Ron (we used to be school mates until they migrated to Canada in just right before our freshmen years) and Nini who used to be so small!

10 Aug
It’s 5:12 AM in the morning and I was awakened by something I don’t know. I was so tired and sleepy last night that after eating dinner I decided to go to bed and close my eyes.
Since I was not able to visit my cousin when she was confined in the hospital for two weeks, I visited her at their house and planned to pay some visit as well to our lola and my mom at the cemetery.
Ate Michelle is telling me that our lola who just died last February is still on earth and is trying to get her. She had a “near death experience” when she was in the hospital last July and she told me that every time she closes her eyes, she can see our lola. Also when she was brought home, their pet cats are looking at her and crying. The cats are teary eyed and moaning. This is where they decided to try “patawas”. You’ll be amazed on what was found out! An old lady with lots of cats…
Our lola doesn’t have a cat and is not fond of collecting one. This is the reason why we are thinking of why do cats will be associated to her. When they visited our lola after the “tawas” event, they were so surprised on what they saw. Cats! and lots of it. They saw cats all over the cemetery which is very unusual to that place.
My cousin was able to talk to our lola the night she died and prayed a rosary. Some say our lola is not yet ready to let go as her family still have gap or conflicts. The person who says that is a friend of my cousin’s brother who happened to have “third eye”. He told them that he can see lola and asking for help. He even knew about our uncle who committed suicide a long time ago.
I don’t know if I have to believe all of this but it’s saddening that this is happening to us. I just hope that my cousin will be better.
