Finally, the much awaited release of the latest designs of Comme Des Garçons Play x Converse shoes!
These new designs will be available in NYC Store and Dover Street Market’s site on May 28. Paris and London on June 1 while Tokyo and the rest of Asia on June 21.
I am aiming to get the Black/White and the Red/White.
Last April, we stayed for a weekend in BGC area since my sister is about to give birth. We rented a place that has this view when you open the curtains.
I’m working in BGC area for more than 6 months now and I never knew that they were building another shopping mall across Market! Market! I’ve seen this building for several times now but I only learned that it was SM Aura last two Fridays ago.
The launch was great having Sarah Jessica Parker invited to cut the ribbon since they’ve been trying to showcase the new look of their department store and the tag line – “Love To Shop”.
I was supposed to push my luck in trying to get in to see SJP but I have so much things to do at work. For me, seeing her in person will be an ultimate dream but having walked down Perry Street and have taken a photo of Carrie Bradshaw’s apartment is priceless.
While I am pretty much impressed on the building construction, the new look and the place, for me it’s still another SM Mall. Honestly, what’s new to offer? Aside from the new look of the Department Store and calling it “The SM Shop”, what new stores will they open soon that we do not have in Power Plant and in Greenbelt?
It’s a good thing that SM has been trying to reinvent their image but it will still be most likely be the same with other SM Malls in the coming days – actually even prior to opening. People call it “AW RA” instead of “OH RA”.
I was at home early this morning scanning thru my tweets and there I realized that New York City Fashionistas are out again for this year’s Costume Institute Gala celebrating Punk: Chaos to Couture.
Without split second, I tuned in to Vogue Live Streaming and watched the arrival of the stars and designers on the Red Carpet.
I think Anja Rubjik gave a real punk vibe on this simple Red “pleather” outfit. Her Hair and Make Up completed the look.
Her Monique Lhuillier dress has potentials but she wore it with wrong hair style and simple make up.
Another favorite, simple yet the vibe of fashionista punk is there.
She should’ve worn her outfits way back instead of this Maison Martin Margiela design
Like Karolina, simple yet with a twist of rock and roll.
The Olsen twins, both inappropriate for the theme yet so lovely to see them on the carpet. Most hated by PETA but I just love them.
Another inappropriate outfit, if not because of Dolce and Gabbana
Kanye West and Kim Kardashian
Not sure if Riccardo Tisci intentionally made her look like that. She seems like wearing a wall paper and I am still wondering if Kanye and Riccardo actually talked to each other that night. Haha
Like SJP, she seems to portray her role as Serena in real life. I love it!
Jennifer Lawarence and Marrion Cottillard
I love Raf but I don’t see any punk on both dress
Love the belt!
I don’t know. She look the same to me even wearing different dresses.
If not because of the hair and her personality.
In Chanel, ‘coz she says pink is the color of Punk thus she wore florals – LOL
I don’t understand the moment she had on the red carpet. It’s totally unnecessary. She is wearing Givenchy yet I don’t think it compliments her figure – even with other long gowns or dresses. I think she looks better in short dresses – or none at all.
Here’s my Top 3 Best Dressed:
If not because of the Platinum blonde
Sarah Jessica Parker
Love the Philip Treacy headdress
Need I say more?
I would understand why a lot wore Givenchy with its street vibe now – thanks to Riccardo Tisci but I am quite sad to see with just one celebrity wore the creation of Vivienne Westwood. For me, she’s the epitome of Punk in Fashion and having Cristina Ricci wore her design seems like no one wore it on the red carpet.
For two years in a row, I was able to acquire DVF loves Gap collection way before its launch in Manila!
Although I am quite disappointed with the stocks we have in Manila, it’s still a good thing that I was able to get something for my little girl Chanel for her birthday. If not, I might get her some of trash or collectibles like silver eagle I have in my room.
Thanks to what happened last night at work, at least I was able to find time to go out and claim my reservations even if it should be claimed this afternoon!
Can’t wait to try it on Chanel and Janna!
For second year in a row, Diane Furstenberg has partnered in with Gap for another cute and fun collections for the kids and babies. I remember last year to have been the first person to get hold of an item in Metro Manila – I bought a dress and a pair of shoes before its launch! Gap Philippines only showcased the collection in Shangri La and BGC branch and I got hold of it fresh from the box in BGC.
I was so excited to have it fitted to Chanel as I think the collection is fun and trendy – not to mention the infamous DVF prints.
Here are some photos of Chanel wearing her DVF x Gap outfits:
Opening her gifts on her 1st birthday
First time to have worn the dress and the wedge, and after 1 year the dress still fits her!
Last Sunday at the hospital
Another dress shipped all the way from Fashion Valley via Aunt Hattie (with her jelly shoes)
Printed Leggings worn with her Burberry top bought in HK
Here are some of the pieces from the latest collection. I love how they’ve used the DVF prints on the Gap Kids characters, so cute!!!!
Now I have another reason to be more excited. Aside from Chanel, I’ll be hitting the stores to shop for Denise too! Double the expenses but double the fun!!!
Can’t wait for April 25!
