Are you guys ready for Saint Laurent Paris?
Hedi Slimane the is taking the Y out of YSL after being asked to take charge of the post of Stefano Pilati. And now, since he has all the power to rule the iconic House, he is planning to rebrand the Fashion House to Saint Laurent Paris on his Spring 2013 collection.
This is not a bad move for every Fashion House, its part of their marketing and business strategy if well though of. Dior is rarely Christian… Chanel not anymore living on its “House of”… its like coming up with a new line. However, any change will be a good move as long as you’ve presented something new to your market… something tasteful.
I hope Slimane would come up with something worth of his stay. Remember, Uncle Yves is watching you from a distance.
