Day 3 – Brasilia

In celebration of 4th of July and the defeat of Brazil from World Cup by the Netherlands, our team celebrated the much awaited and highly anticipated Team Building!

Our original plan was supposed to go on an overnight swimming but due to some unavoidable circumstances and some busy work schedule, the team have decided to just have dinner at Brazil! Brazil!

Brazil! Brazil! offers Eat-All-You-Can Churrasco with some other options like pasta, salads, vegies and more! The first time I’ve tried eating here was with a friend and I fell in love with Lamb Chops, Schublig, Grilled Pineapples and of course Chicken. It was delish! I’ve lost count how many times I’ve asked for the Schublig and I think that’s the reason of my bloating stomach that night. So to those who are figure conscious, I won’t recommend this restaurant for you unless you have self forbearance or have the best diet pills handy in your pocket.

First one to arrive!

Normally, if you enter a restaurant, the host will check on your reservation, guide you on your table and hand you with the menu. Brazil Brazil does the same plus place a “yoyo” on your table.

The “yoyo” has two colors, one on each side. This will tell your hostess if Churrasco needs to be served or not. Like the traffic light, Green represents “GO” which means you want to keep the meat coming at all times. Red, on the other hand, means STOP. I would recommend to sometimes turn the “yoyo” in red so that you’re meat fat won’t cool down.

Would this mean, serve it slowly?

The food:

Lamb Chops

German Franks – Serendra branch is not serving Schublig anymore

  • Rowena ang itawag mo sa akin

I’ve been craving for Buco Pie for months now… I don’t know why… I haven’t had one since God knows when… I’m ok with Colettes but my friends told me that we can easily buy one in Visayas Avenue and should’ve tried something else.

Last Saturday, my friend Nanie told me about this Apple Tart that her brother brought home from Tagaytay. She actually forgot the store name and told me that she’ll just text me as soon as she received the reply from her brother. When I got the confirmation from Nanie, the store that she was telling me happens to be the same store that our boss was told about. A special friend Someone told him to try the Sylvannas at this store.

Still not yet recovered from our strenuous activity at Calaruega (yes even after having lunch at Leslie’s), we decided to drop by at Rowena’s to buy something to go home with.

The store was painted with white and pink stripes outside and not that big. As soon as you enter the store, you’ll see freezers on the right and food racks on the left. The freezers are crowded with their frozen items while the racks are filled with some dry foods and snacks that they offer. (more…)

    31 Cent Baskin Robins

Did you feel the freakin’ heat of the sun yesterday?

Report shows that Metro Manila sizzles the hottest day of the year by hitting a temperature of 37.3 degree Celsius yesterday at around 3:00 PM. I remember yesterday when I feel the need of something to drink, as soon as I opened my room it felt like I’m inside the oven!

In this times of El Niño Phenomenon, the least we can have is something to freshen our day up. Something refreshing to drink like freshly squeezed lemonade, our very own halo-halo or a $0.31 of Baskin Robins Ice Cream Night.

You read it right! Just when everyone is hitting the weighting scales and trying to be conscious with their calorie intake. Baskin Robins just had a 31 Cent Scoop of Ice Cream night a while ago (April 28 5PM – 10PM) for some participating stores. They are offering a yummy scoop of Butter Pecan or Rocky Road for that amount with cone comes with and no coupon needed!

This event is to honor the National Volunteer Fire Council (NVFC) National Junior Firefighter Program with a $100,000 donation for their emergency service workers.

I love Butter Pecan! Why don’t we have something like this in Manila!? Even if it’s just dirty ice cream, I’ll be the first one to fall in line… Call me “Masa” but it’s so hot!

Tonight will be a very busy night for our account. We have a new program that will be launching and I was asked to be in GY shift to assist. I haven’t taken my rest day yet for the week and tonight will be my 8th work shift for the week.

These past few months has been very good to me as I’ve been able to get enough sleep compare to 2 to 3 hours sleep (sometimes none) I’ve been getting before. But today’s not any other day! It seems that I’ve been going back to my old habits wherein I don’t get enough sleep at all!

Anyway, it’ll just for tonight and tomorrow will be my rest day. Quin Venti Americano will help my brain to work and Venti Espresso Java Chip Frap (and a muffin) to freshen my night up! I’m thinking of having pancakes too after my shift for break fast.

One more hour to go and I’m off to shower! See you in the office… and I’m on Eastern Time Zone Tonight…
