The Journey Of A Simple Guy In Finding The Best Of Life
17 Aug
I just got back home from a quick trip at The Block.
Well, not that I despise going to SM Malls but I really think the mall has nothing new to offer its buyers. Of course, there’s the usual Watsons, the department store, supermarket and so on but every time that I get a chance (not that I really have to schedule it but i really don’t have time to go there) to go there, its like i wouldn’t last an hour or two (except if I’m with someone) and then head out.
Anyway, it’s quite sometime now since my last visit at The Block. I was hunting for a book that is not yet released in the US and I thought of going to Fullybooked for maybe, and only maybe they already have it. After checking out their shelves, it turned out that they still don’t have it but they can order it for me but it will most likely arrived in 2 – 3 months. I can’t wait that long! I can have it shipped it less than a month. I end up buying another book from Michael Tonello… Bringing Home the Birkin…

After picking up the book, I decided to stroll around the newly developed Sky Garden at SM North. As I walk outside from the mall, I thought that the place is totally a ghost town. It’s not yet fully developed as the area is not filled with restaurants yet but it is trying to be an Ayala Mall with all that open space area. I think the plan of having a terrace in the heart of EDSA is such big disaster. Who will enjoy dining out with all that noise from motorists and the polluted air?

SM North EDSA may be one of the biggest malls in Asia or in the world but NOT the FINEST. Ayala Malls, on the other hand is the BEST! It’s the Nature in the heart of the Metro.

Yesterday, I got a tweet from Lacoste that the bag that I want is currently on sale at Lord & Taylor. Since no one can buy me the bag as my relatives in the US are completely useless (hahaha just kidding), I bought it myself last night!

Eastwood City has an on-going sale until Sunday, August 16. I was supposed to leave at around 4PM so that I can have enough time goofing around Eastwood to look on what’s in-store for me but to my surprise, I woke up late! Thinking that the roads will be free from unnecessary motorists, I was not worried that much and go on with my normal routine. But when I reached the far end of Katipunan, tunnel going to Libis, cars were not moving! Gawd! I was in the cab at the fly over for around 30 effin minutes!
Anyhow, I still managed to check out the mall amidst of the traffic. I headed directly to Lacoste, and as usual they don’t have sale on new items. Why am I not surprise!? They were on sale since early part of July so the items on the sale section are already left off from the mid year sale.
I checked the accessories first and saw the bag that I am drooling for since I bought my blue one in Hongkong. Trying to kill the excitement (as I kill my privilege to spend any merchandise till after September), I headed to the clothing section and scan the racks even if I know that they don’t have anything for my size (I already bought all of ‘em). The attendant called my attention and spread all the colors of the City Casual Vertical Shoulder bag that they have on the table (I totally forgot that I’ve asked for all the colors so that I could check it myself since I’m trying not to follow the urge of buying one). And that changes everything last night.
I end up carrying my bag and a Lacoste paper bag…

Oh I hate going to Sale, as I still end up buying regular items!

My office friends and I are planning to attend Tita Cory’s wake in La Salle Greenhills Gymnasium but for some reasons, maybe due to heavy rain this morning, I didn’t get any text from them.
Last Saturday night, I was making notes of the things I have to do during my rest days. I told myself that I will be spending a QT with myself on Sunday and work on Monday. And as soon as I left the comfort of my workstation, I headed right away to the North and took a shower and went to TriNoma.
My initial plan is just to buy a shirt and watch Harry Potter. Staying home for two weeks was no fun. I missed a lot of movies, good foods and good buys.
Before I head to Lacoste Apparel section, I checked out Chasseurs and found out that they have the new Silver and Gold Edition of Lacoste Europa Tourelle. I tried to shift my attention to the Red! Collection section but the shiny gold and silver lining makes me peek every few minutes. I decided to leave the store as I was just killing myself with all those shoes.
Before heading to the Lacoste Apparel store, I went to Nokia as my E71 is calling for a new case. The store attendant is not that friendly as she smirk when I asked if they have E71 casing. I told her I want to see it and as she handed it over to me, I said, “I’ll get it. How would you like to be paid, cash or card?” You’re messing with the wrong guy, girl. You wanted some sales, then you should be friendly with you customers! Ang aga aga, nagmamaganda ka.

After grabbing my goods, I walked down to Lacoste without even looking at the nearby stores. But as I’ve entered the store, nothing caught my attention. Classics works for me (all the time) but they don’t have the colors I wanted on my size. Gawd! I need to go on a diet!
I don’t want to watch a movie empty handed of some crocodile skin so I went back to Chasseurs grab this!

Those Limited editions are so… Limited! They carry one stock for each size and luckily, they have my size! I just can’t resist the color white and the Tourelle Logo!
I officially announced I’m broke!
