While everyone in New York is celebrating for the Spring 2010 Fashion Week, here I am in my room thinking, contemplating and looking for possibilities of winter or spring vacation.
Last year, my uncle told me to be back in New Jersey on December for Christmas, New Year and to attend my cousin’s Sweet Sixteen party on February. But with the party moved on April, that means flowers will be on my arrival instead of snow! Gawd! How can I wear my fur?
I badly need some East Coast air!
If I’ll be flying on December to EWR and be back here in MNL on February, that would be 4 freakin’ months of not being paid! waaaahhhhh!
Just last night, I saw an email from him asking me again on when am I coming back. My body and soul (with special participation of my heart) screams out Winter but my obligations (as in OBLIGATIONS) states Spring. Eva is telling me just stay for 6 months, but hello!?…only if I could… Actually, I can if I just say bye bye to my ever lovable company (I answered Strongly Agree after the Haagen Dazs… LOL)

Back on New York Fashion Week… Lacoste will showcase their Spring 2010 Collection on the 12th at Bryant Park at exactly 10AM. I wish I could be there to see the new collection…

Wait a minute! February is NY Fashion Week for Fall 2010 right? Decisions… decisions… decisions…

While everyone is filing for vacation leaves and buying tickets for out of town trips, yours truly seems like to be staying in Manila for no good reason.
It’s already 3rd day of the first “ber” month this year and I still don’t have clear plans for myself or for the holidays. My Magic 8 Ball told me it will be a Winter Wonderland year for me, but where’s my ticket? I’m in total recession!
Last year, it’s not even August but I already have fixed plans for my vacation. I was totally surprised when they announced that I am one of the few who was chosen as a member of the first ever President’s Club which actually my ticket for a 4 days 3 nights stay in Boracay Regency Resort all expense paid by our company. And just after that refreshing trip, I flew in to the states for 2 months rest.
And this year, I will earn miles for a frequent flyer from Fairview to Libis. I’m totally worn out! I need a vacation ASAP! If my Winter Wonderland won’t happen this year, I will plan a trip early next year somewhere near North Pole. I swear!

Thid Day, we were supposed to spend the entire day in Disneyland but due to the weather condition (and our body calling for more retail therapy), we’ve decided to spend more cash in Harbour City wearing Checkered tops!
Cee was about to bring some cake for my birthday, but due to time constraint she was not able to buy me one. So when we are at Silvercord Mall, we passed by at BreadTalk and bought Tiramisu and ate it all until we both passed out at the Food Central.
It was a completely tiring and exhausting day we had. We spent the entire day in the mall trying for some shoes, looking for some potential must-haves and giving away our cash in exchange for some merchandise. Mind you, the heat outside is crazy. Whenever we step out the Canton Road, I end up with wet maps at the back of my shirt. It was so freaking hot! Bonaqua is my BFF in HK.
Since it will be our last night in HK, we decided to spend more hours in shopping until the busy streets of Canton Road was wiped out. However, (there is a HUGE however to this) Cee got all tired with all that shopping bags she’s carrying and just had what rheumatism. We missed the Laser Lights Show in Victoria Harbour and went home to drop our bags to rest for a while before we head to the Night Market in Mongkok.
It was totally a tiring day. Cee passed out while I was still on facebook.

Like what I’ve said a while back, I made a reservation for 2 on the date of my birthday in Hongkong. I was supposed to reserve for dinner but since the price is uber expensive during Sundays, I decided to have it on lunch so as we still have enough time to party at night.
R66 is the only revolving restaurant in the heart of Hongkong Island. The restaurant lies on the 63rd floor of Hopewell Centre at the Queen’s Road East which was named as the highest and first circular skyscraper in Hongkong back then (IFC is the tallest building now in Hongkong). It takes around 66 minutes to complete one revolution.

The restaurant can only hold our reservation for like 15 minutes. Lunch buffet starts at 11AM and it was already 10:45AM and we are still doing some shopping at Zara in IFC Mall. After like a couple of minutes, Cee and I rushed at the mall entrance and grab a cab to Queen’s Road. Good thing HK taxis have really cold air conditioning system that we can actually feel the cold breeze even if it’s freakin’ hot outside.

I am so amazed on how fast is the elevator at the Hopewell Center even if the building was constructed in 1980. I totally forgot that I am not in Manila so I shouldn’t be amazed at all. As we reached the 63rd floor, a young fine local receptionist greeted us and confirms our reservation. She told us to wait as she check on our table to make sure that it is ready. While waiting, Cee and I are taking some photos at the sign board. She offered us a photo when she saw taking turns in taking pictures of ourselves.

As our waitress guided us to our table, Cee and I are trying to slow down in walking as we are about to step on the main floor which is of course revolving. Cee had to stop for a while as she really feels that the entire place is moving. You might have a sudden feel of dizziness but you’ll get used in a couple of minutes.
I requested for the window side for better view and photortunities (photo opportunities). We are lucky enough to have a clear sky that day as we can see all of the skyscrapers in the island.

R66 offers Lunch Buffet at 11AM till 2PM. But you can also order ala carte if you don’t feel like eating all those food that they served in the buffet section.
The food served in the Buffet Section varies from Chinese, Japanese, American, and Italian. I can say that the main course section is great but they really have to work hard on the dessert section as the cakes are so dry and tasteless.
Cee and I enjoy the sashimi as the tuna is so fresh. It’s like it was served straight from the sea.

All in all, it was totally an exciting experience. The place is awesome, the food is great, the service is excellent (the staffs speak good english) and the toilet is clean! A great place to dine out and take photos. You might end up taking more photos than eating the food. You’ll love every single minute of the revolution!
