Some 3 years ago when I was Rhode Island, we went to visit the Newport Mansions in United States. The place is an upscale society that is preserved by The Preservation Society of Newport County. Great Mansions are lined up here fronting the Atlantic Ocean owned by renowned and wealthiest families like Vanderbilt and Brown in United States back then.

Each mansions has entrance fee so we settled in visiting 2 mansions as we were also heading to Boston the same day to check out Harvard. I must say that The Breakers is the most grandeur mansion in New Port. Everything is so perfect from the location, structure, furniture and the real gold materials used, it was a perfect Summer House for a society!
Though I adore the Italian Renaissance Palazzo style of Breakers, there’s this house we saw on our way out of Newport. I can say that this is more like “human” house than other mansions in the nearby areas. I just love how it looks that I have to ask my uncle stop the car and take a photo of the house.

The Crossways is not that huge compare to Breakers but I must say its perfect! I love the uphill path to the main door that I just wish that they installed path lighting along with those structured plants ‘coz I just can’t stop to imagine how dramatic it can look at night.
This is experience is just so great that I want to do it again if given another chance of going to Rhode Island. I want to check out other mansions like the Marble, Elms, Chateau-Sur-Mer, Hunter and Kingscote.
