The Journey Of A Simple Guy In Finding The Best Of Life
24 Feb
I’m back! I’m back to the real world!
The aircraft landed around 1PM and I arrived home at 2:30PM with the help of the uber expensive airport service. I was so sleepy during the entire journey that I slept at the aircraft and at the car. I might’ve been tired from all those walking that I felt like I took fat burners with all those sweats.
I reported for work 3 hours early for my work as I need to submit a report that I need to present the same day. Good thing that we have good numbers that I was able to finish the report and review the report on time.
Now that I’m back, I need to save up for the next trip!

This is the saddest day of the saddest week… and thank God the week is about to end!!!
Let me just give you a quick update on what just happened to me this week..
SUNDAY (January 23) – I’ve never given an update about the preso that I was about to present on Monday. I’ve submitted the file days before the deadline but the person who was about to approved it can’t find time to read it was so busy reviewing the other preso I’ve submitted for their trip… I don’t know why he was so afraid about that.
– Haven’t gotten any update from that person so I’ve asked around and thank God that QBR was on Pacific Time! Tuesday Manila!
MONDAY (January 24) – Had a serious head ache that I can’t absorb whatever it is that I’m reading. Headed home with still no updates from this person on which preso should I present or if we still need to attend the Business Review.
– Submitted my revised preso instead without copying him. Went home with head ache and tried to sleep to report the same night for the review.
TUESDAY (January 25) – Arrived in the office around 8:30 PM of Monday night to review the deck I’ve prepared. However, I wasn’t able to review the file as the people I was expecting to cover for the operations have abandoned their post. Leaving me to cover for their responsibilities while I was preparing for my presentation in 2 hours.
– Good thing the presentation runs smoothly as we have good numbers.
– Bus bombing in Buendia and Qantas Plane drops 26,000 bound to Melbourne
– heard that my friend will be resigning
WEDNESDAY (January 26)- Preparation for Weekly Operations Review to be presented to our client on Thursday Manila Time. So nervous as we are below target in all metrics.
THURSDAY (January 27) – I wear red in the office to give me good luck and good vibes for the report. I’ve arrived at 1:00 AM, had breakfast at Dells and bought my Venti Americano from Starbucks… I’ve opened my report as soon as I hit my work station…. the cover lid of my coffee cup was broken leaving my workstation spilled with my tasty Americano…. was in good mood until I’ve talked to our client!!!
– MAN!!! Ginisa ako!!! Ginisa ako sa sarili kong mantika!!! I swear this is the first time that I have to fight for my life to answer all his questions and demands!!!! There’s this instance that he even question why I was just reporting 3 cases where in fact there were 12! I told him, I was just done discussing 3 cases of the first category and there were 3 more categories!!!! This is insane!!! I can’t believe that I’m on the phone talking as if my team haven’t had good performance for the past weeks!!!! In fact we have good progressive performances!!!
– Something just happened in the conference in HK!!! I have to find out what that is!!!!
– 6 dead in a construction site in ETON Towers in Makati
– and finally this..
Trying to be the next idol???

I can’t believe I missed this one…
I was talking to my office mate Albert this morning asking him about Beats if he knows any store who offers great deal! He suddenly asks me if I’ve seen the latest Starbucks commercial. I wasn’t aware of any new commercial from Starbucks so he went to his station and showed me the “Glen” commercial.
I actually missed the message of the commercial at first that’s why I decided to watch it again when I arrived home.
Actually, it was really good. Starbucks drives Glen’s motivation on his way to the top. Honestly, I’ve been drinking Starbucks for 8 years now and it really does adds up motivation for me to work harder at any given tasks. However, this commercial was released two years ago and I am currently in the verge of doing something negative and order cigars and check if it will really ease down stress and tension at work!
But this commercial is really good and I recommend the newly graduates to watch this to give them inspiration.
Here’s the lyrics…
“Glen. Glen Glen Glen. Glen Glen Glen. Glen Glen Glen. Glen’s the man, going to work Got his tie, got ambition Middle management is right in his grasp. It’s a dream he will never let die. Glen’s the man of the hour He’s the king of his cube Status call reports have finally met their rival. Burning the candle at both ends on his way to the top. He knows one day he just could become…. Supervisor. Roy. Roy Roy Roy.”
… and oh, I’m already a Supervisor… could quin shot espresso bring my Motivation back?

I decided to go out earlier to buy dinner at the mall and to grab my daily dose of caffeine. It feels so good to go out and worry about what to buy instead of what to do to resolve some issues at work. I’ve been trying to ignore office related stuffs during rest days as I’ve been dealing with it for the past years.
It’s already 2011 and all I need is peace of mind and love love love… to love myself MORE!!!
Anyway, I was in great mood at the mall even if its not the usual mall I go to. For the first time, I didn’t hear myself complaining for the people around me. I’ve been friendly with SAs and I stroll inside the mall with a smile on my face. I bought food at this Chinese Restaurant and grab some pastries from Delifrance as I’m craving for cakes early this morning.
As soon as arrived home, I’ve taken my dinner and watch one of my favorite movies Music and Lyrics. I’ve seen this movie for number times already but still can’t help myself laughing at Hugh Grant’s booty move. All this time I was really in good mood and forgot all the stress at work and personal life until I’ve reached for my phone and read the message on it.
That message really kill my mood and gives me excess oil on my face!!! If only I can have oily skin treatments right away, I will! Sometimes its best to turn off your phone during rest days for you to get off from work related stress! I’m seriously considering this.

Seriously, with all the things happening in the office right now, all I need is someone or something to motivate me. I’ve been struggling at work in the past couple of days, months or even years and all I think is to write my resignation letter and leave.
However, I’m not a natural-born quitter. If I think I really can, I’ll face up whatever challenge I can get as long as I get support from the people around me and/or someone to look up at to. Mind you, I’m not the only one in the office who thinks the same way.
So since I can’t get motivation from the people around me, I will get it from the fancy things that can be bought by either cash or credits (mind you, I consider buying even a 1U rack mount as long as I can get motivation to go to work and perform well at my tasks)
Here are the things I consider buying any moment now just to drive me back to work:
Short Term Goals – Will be paid in cash (LOL)
1. Can’t decide between Multiple, Brazza and Zippy
2. Keep It Bracelet/Clic HH/Hapi 3PM
3. Torn between Berries and Apples
4. Weekend in Hongkong
5. Additional crocodiles
6. Tzu or Shire
Long Term Goals – Will be paid in credits or loan (Im poor)
1. I badly need a car – Damn Taxi rates is about to increase!
2. Move Out from my colony
3. Pegase 55
4. Keepall 65
5. LV Kicks
6. Business of my own
That’s it for now… I just really need to get any of these ASAP.
