I can consider April and May as my worst months for this year so far. I’ve had several challenges at work, not to mention my health condition which also one of the reasons why my career life is on a very bad state.

Last May, I was diagnosed with Slip Disk and Osteoarthritis. My Doctor advised me to undergo 2 weeks bed rest hence the reason of my absences. During those two weeks, I’ve been attending Physical Therapy for my Lumbar Sacral area and eventually was referred for another two weeks for my left leg for the OA.

So far, my LS area is ok now although I can still feel pain whenever I get tired of sitting, standing, walking or laying around. I’ve had two steroid injections for my knee but like my LS area, pain is still kicking in. The Doctor told me that my slip disk can be cured by surgery depending on how severe the pain is. As for the Arthritis, steroids can be used to lessen the pain and maintain not to worsen the state but what really helps to lessen the pain is to lose weight (as in lose as many pounds as I can!).

I don’t want to undergo surgery because not only the Doctor will cut my body (Only Belo Touches my skin, who touches yours?) but also I have to spend a hefty amount of peso for the operation hence will ruin my Europe tour! I would rather buy myself a plane ticket to Paris than lay down in bed and dream of Paris in pain.

Now that I have to resort to the unthinkable, I decided to be serious about my diet plan. Here’s the progress:

Week 1: lose 1 pound
Week 2: lose 6 pounds
Week 3: gained 3 pounds
Week 4: tomorrow

I just can’t believe that I actually gained 3 on the third week! That’s my second week of being a goat and not eating rice! I don’t get it! I hope its only a mechanical issue since I used our company’s weighting scale on the 3rd week and hospital’s on the first two weeks.

Tomorrow I have an appointment with my Doctor for a follow-up check up. I’ll check if it has to do only with the scale if not, I’ll starve myself more!

Gawd, this is a total change of lifestyle! I can’t even go to High Street to eat, and I can’t imagine myself in Hong Kong. How can I hop from TST to Central and carry those shopping bags!?

I need to be as thin as Kim Chiu by the end of the year and have a healthy and skinny lifestyle! If not, Cohen Diet for Php 55,000 is my Plan B. Plan Z is surgery!
