  • Davao Trip

Last week, I’ve been asked to fly to Davao so I can meet my team and attend the launch of two programs to be added on our Account.

My Room – Microtel good for a family of 4

    The Friendly Human Resource Team

My Humble Corporate Abode for 5 days

    My Welcome Center Team

    PNC Group

It was a business trip so I never had a chance to visit other places other than Abreeza and some other restaurants. I actually wanted to squeeze in a day tour in Pearl Farm but we really can’t find time. Anyway, at least I was able to meet my team and was able to talk to them personally and not just by phone. That’s the first thing on my list and I am happy that I was able to accomplish it.

  • Globe Sucks

Last week, I brought my iPad to Davao for my business tour. I can’t live a day without being connected to the internet and to get some updates from the sites I follow. Knowing that the hotel my company booked don’t offer free internet connection in my room, I decided to buy a Globe Microsim and subscribe to unlimited data service for 5 days.

One advantage of having a mobile tablet computer is you can update or do something wherever or whenever you want.

I’ve borrowed Mami Janie’s iPhone4 so I can add load and subscribe for the 5-day Supersurf. I haven’t received any notification that they received my subscription but they’ve deducted my card already with Php 220 for the unlimited data service. I called Globe and told me that the usual alibi and transferred me to technical support department who just told me that they’ve manually activated it an I have to wait for 24 hours. Twenty four hours and yet my Supersurf line is already running!

I decided to ditch the service and forget all about it and just use my Blackberry to get some updates. It is really frustrating to pay for something for nothing!

Just so you know, I’m back from Davao and yet my service is still not working. Kudos to Globe!

@talk2Globe all you can do is ask how can you help when your CS, TS and even Managers can’t do anything

    @enjoyGlobe Enjoy my ass!

And I can’t believe I’m still maintaining my more than 9 years line subscription for Globe.

  • Yabu – House of Katsu

I’ve been longing to satisfy my craving for authentic Japanese Katsu… the best I’ve tried so far in Manila is Crazy Katsu in Maginhawa Street. However, it’s not authentic Japanese Katsu.

Last November 11, this new Japanese restaurant opened in Mega Palengke. I’ve heard good reviews and a lot of people are tweeting on how good the food they serve. Since then, I’ve been wanting to try their Chicken Katsu and Oyster Katsu but the place is always packed whenever I’m in the area.

Good thing my good friend Cristy BBMd me earlier asking for Salon Day. I just woke up from my more than 12 hours of sleep trying to gain back my energy from my recent Business Trip in Davao. We decided to meet at the Salon and told her not to eat lunch as we will be dining in at Yabu.

    Picture Taking Before Ordering

After placing our orders, the attendant served the sesame seeds with the pestle. The pestle will be used to crush the sesame seeds that you will be mixing in with your Tonkatsu sauce.

Tonkatsu sauce is the one in the far left

Cristy ordered the Rosu Pork Katsu Set while I had Chicken Katsu Set and an ala carte Oyster Katsu.

    Oyster Katsu

The Katsu dishes are so crispy and so tender! It’s not like other Katsu offered in our local restaurants that they have more breading than meat. It was so good!

Although the dishes are so good, the star of the dinner is the lip-smacking white sesame cream sauce! It was so delicious that I had three sets of cabbage! I super love it!

I’m so coming back to this place and try the Katsudon and Scallops!
